Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 2026

1. Introduction & Who We Are

AeroHub Analytics (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website aerohub.me (the “Service”). We provide a free, browser-based flight route analysis tool that processes aviation CSV data entirely on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use our Service, why we collect it, the legal basis for processing, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@aerohub.me.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Analytics & Behavioural Data (via Google Analytics 4)

When you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) collects the following information on our behalf:

  • Pages you visit and the order in which you visit them
  • Session duration and engagement metrics (scroll depth, clicks)
  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • General geographic region (country / city level) derived from a truncated IP address
  • Referral source (e.g. search engine, direct, social)

IP anonymisation: We have enabled IP anonymisation in GA4. Your full IP address is never stored by Google on our behalf; only the last octet is masked before storage.

2.2 Advertising Data (via Google AdSense)

When you consent to advertising cookies, Google AdSense may collect identifiers and browsing signals to serve interest-based advertisements. This processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. We do not receive personally identifiable advertising data from Google.

2.3 Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies as described in Section 4 below. No other tracking pixels or fingerprinting technologies are deployed by AeroHub Analytics directly.

2.4 CSV Uploads & Flight Data

CSV files you upload to the analyser are processed entirely in your browser (client-side). Your flight data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We do not store, log, or have access to the contents of your uploaded files.

2.5 Data We Do Not Collect

  • Names, email addresses, or any registration data (no account is required)
  • Payment information
  • Precise geolocation
  • The contents of uploaded CSV files

5. Third-Party Data Processors

5.1 Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4, operated by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use our Service. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.

5.2 Google AdSense

We display advertisements through Google AdSense, also operated by Google LLC. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.

6. International Data Transfers

AeroHub Analytics is operated from within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, our third-party processors — Google LLC — are based in the United States. When analytics or advertising data is transferred from the EU/EEA to the US, Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as the legal safeguard for that transfer, in accordance with GDPR Chapter V. By accepting cookies, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in the United States under these safeguards.

7. Data Retention

  • Google Analytics 4: Analytics data is retained for 14 months within Google’s systems, after which it is automatically deleted.
  • Consent preference (aerohub_consent): Stored in your browser’s localStorage for up to 1 year, or until you clear your browser data.
  • Server access logs: Retained for a maximum of 90 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights:

  • Right of access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your data where there is no compelling reason for continued processing
  • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent to analytics or advertising cookies at any time by clicking “Decline” in the cookie banner, or by clearing your aerohub_consent entry from localStorage
  • Right to lodge a complaint — you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority (e.g. CNIL in France, ICO in the UK, BfDI in Germany)

9. How to Exercise Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights listed above, please contact us at info@aerohub.me. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on your request.

To withdraw consent to analytics or advertising cookies immediately, you can clear your browser’s localStorage for aerohub.me and reload the page — the consent banner will reappear.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the revised policy.
